Chef Alexis Martinez of the Flying V Bar & Grill

One of our favorite restaurants in the country is located at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, and it served as the perfect venue for this week’s show. Matt Russell was joined by celebrity co-host Jim Seder of www.WineInquirer.com, who discussed some new features of his popular website. Matt and Jim caught up with the Flying V’s general manager, Rock Saul, who showcased this great destination for foodies. They also chatted with national television personality Chef Michael McDermott, who discussed the beauty and passion of the new liqueur, Love Potion Number Nine! The featured guest was Flying V Chef Alexis Martinez, who has put together one of the finest menus anywhere. The southwest ribs were among the best we have ever tasted.

John Chamberlain of Fuku Sushi

The upcoming University of Arizona homecoming weekend brought us to Main Gate Square for this live broadcast from Fuku Sushi. Matt Russell invited local artist Edgar Huerta to the table, who discussed his work on exhibit across Main Gate Square. Matt then caught up with the guys from the Cross Cut Saw Blues Band, who were getting ready to perform that evening. Anne Hay from the Freemark Abbey Winery joined the discussion with a lineup of wines that Matt had enjoyed at a recent wine dinner. The featured guest was John Chamberlain of Fuku Sushi, who brought out some of his standout items: the Wildcat Roll, the Honor Roll, and the Pink Crunch Roll. What would he put into a “Matt Russell Roll?” Listen to discover the masterpiece that he came up with right on the spot!

Steve Jones of Nimbus Bistro & Brewery

A new restaurant in Tucson is always a great place to broadcast from, and the grand opening of Nimbus Bistro & Brewery provided the perfect backdrop for this show. Celebrity co-host Kirk Jensen, the Tailgate Titan himself, took us on a tour of some of his favorite beers, then we caught up with the winner of the Chopped Liver contest at the Jewish Food Festival. The featured guest was Steve Jones of Nimbus, who introduced us to a wide range of delicious brews. Matt Russell’s favorite? The Oatmeal Stout!
